JOB DESCRIPTION:
YOUR ROLE AS:
As a Tax Manager at AirAsia, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the company’s financial integrity through proactive tax strategy, compliance, and reporting. You will oversee local and international tax matters, work closely with regulatory bodies, and provide strategic advice to support key business decisions. As an Allstar, you’ll champion transparency, ensure full compliance with tax regulations, and help power our mission of connecting people and transforming lives across Asean.
WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:
Lead the preparation, review, and filing of all corporate tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions in compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
Identify and mitigate tax risks by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changing tax laws and industry trends.
Coordinate and manage tax audits, investigations, and queries from tax authorities.
Support business units on tax-related matters, including M&A due diligence, contract review, and operational transactions.
Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping for all tax filings and payments.
Collaborate with external advisors, auditors, and government agencies when needed.
Drive continuous process improvements and automation within the tax function.
Educate internal stakeholders on key tax updates, risks, and opportunities.

You are a detail-oriented finance professional with a strategic mindset and a strong grasp of tax laws and financial compliance. You have an analytical mind, an eye for accuracy, and a passion for structure and process. You bring integrity to the numbers and thrive in fast-paced, high-performing environments.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of Philippine tax regulations (e.g., BIR), compliance requirements, and reporting standards.
Familiarity with international tax laws and cross-border transactions.
Hands-on experience in corporate tax planning, audits, and regulatory reporting.
Proficiency in using financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
CPA license or equivalent tax/accounting qualification preferred.
Soft Skills & Competencies:
High integrity and ethical judgment in handling sensitive financial data.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communicator, capable of translating complex tax terms for non-finance stakeholders.
