Job Description
Address tax issues and handle tax compliance (both Local and National Taxes), Handles BIR, LGU and Customs audits and permit requirements, Special Projects, Administrative and MS Governance
The Real Property Tax and Local Business Tax functions will mainly include:
- Review, strategize and prepare annual RPT payments, and verification of deficiency RPT assessments
- Preparation of computations/reports on local tax issues
- Coordinating with local government officials on needed documents/data, and advocating the Company's tax position
- Maintaining monitoring/database of RPT payments and status per local government unit
- Local Business Tax preparation, planning, strategy, filing, payment and advocacy of Company's position
The MS Governance function will mainly include:
- liaising between the MS team and the different departments,
- monitoring and reviewing the progress of the team
Administrative Functions will include
- Tax representatives for different undertakings,
- Development of plans/initiatives to improve local tax processes (digital or manual), such as data cleanup of property registration files, etc.
Tax Advisory and Special Projects will include:
- Assisting in tax impact assessment and structuring for corporate reorganizations and strategies
- Assistance in the tax planning initiatives (i.e. contract drafting for sale and purchases, business dealing, commercial agreements)
- Certificate Authorizing Registration (CAR) processing
- Conducting tax due diligence
- Taxation advisory in general
- Assistance in BIR, LGU and customs audits,
- Tax returns preparation and review
