Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance and Filing
Monitor, compute, file, and ensure timely payment of all taxes required by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) as stipulated in the BIR Certificate of Registration.
- Regulatory Compliance
Ensure full and timely compliance with the requirements of BIR, Bureau of Customs (BOC), Local Government Units (LGUs), and other relevant regulatory agencies.
- Tax Audits and Assessments
Manage tax-related matters including BIR and BOC audits and assessments by preparing audit documentation, addressing queries, and facilitating tax declarations and reconciliations.
- Transfer Pricing and Related Party Transactions
Oversee the preparation and documentation of transfer pricing studies and ensure proper disclosure and compliance with related party transaction requirements.
- General Ledger and Tax Accounting
Maintain accurate tax-related balances in the general ledger, ensuring alignment between financial records and tax reporting. Management of the company’s Computerized Accounting Systemb (BIR-CAS).
- Statutory Reporting
Prepare and submit required reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), LGUs, and other regulatory bodies, ensuring all statutory obligations are met.
- Stakeholder Coordination and Representation
Serve as liaison with clients, auditors, tax consultants, and government agencies such as BIR, BOC, and other departments, managing all communications and documentation related to tax matters and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accountancy, CPA is an advantage/preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience as a Tax Supervisor, Tax manager, or a similar position.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Philippine Accounting standards, tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
- Advanced Excel skill set and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Good analytical and logical skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
