Job Summary
The Warehouseman Technical Specialist is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations while providing technical expertise in inventory management, storage systems, and material handling equipment. This role combines hands-on warehouse functions with technical knowledge to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with company standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and supplies, and finished Goods
- Pick, pack, and dispatch goods accurately and on time.
- Maintain proper labeling, documentation, and stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO)
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in annual physical inventory.
- Generate reports on stock levels, discrepancies, and usage trends.
- Ensure proper use, calibration, and maintenance of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners).
- Troubleshoot and coordinate repair or preventive maintenance schedules
- Enforce warehouse safety standards (PPE use, safe lifting, material handling).
- Comply with company policies, or other regulatory requirements.
- Train warehouse staff on equipment use and safety procedures.
- Support logistics and production teams as needed for smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical course preferred.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in warehouse/logistics operations, with exposure to technical aspects of warehouse systems.
- Proven experience as a warehouseman, storekeeper, or logistics associate
- Technical knowledge in warehouse equipment and material handling
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of safety and quality standards in warehouse operations.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office or equivalent software.
