Job Summary:
We're seeking experienced and skilled drivers to operate 6-10 wheeler trucks for transporting goods and materials. As a 6-10 wheeler driver, you'll play a critical role in ensuring timely deliveries and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and maneuver 6-10 wheeler trucks in various road conditions
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling
- Plan and execute routes efficiently, adhering to delivery schedules
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle inspections
- Comply with traffic laws, regulations, and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service, communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
- Valid professional driver's license for 6-10 wheeler vehicles
- Proven experience in driving large trucks, with a safe driving record
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading cargo
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with logistics and transportation operations
- Experience with GPS navigation and routing systems
- Certification in defensive driving or hazardous materials transportation (optional)
