Position Summary:
Functionally reporting to the Segment Finance Director, the Staff Accountant will support the monthly accounting close and consolidation process in partnership and collaboration with members of the broader accounting team and other stakeholders throughout the Company. This position will maintain close working relationships with Segment Controllership and Finance teams and various other departments throughout the organization, including Treasury, Legal and HR. The Staff Accountant is a full-time role.
This role will have a broad responsibility for the following areas:
- General Ledger
- Consolidations and Intercompany Accounting– ownership of the final consolidation and intercompany elimination process, Hyperion loads, mapping, etc
- Treasury Accounting – debt and interest, hedging, cash reconciliations, dividends
- US Ledger Accounting – shared accounting for certain activities of US and Mexico based businesses
Key Responsibilities
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including consolidation and reporting
- Work collaboratively across departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data
- Utilize Oracle ERP systems and consolidation tools such as Hyperion or OneStream
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with company and regulatory standards
- Generate reports and presentations using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls
Professional Experience/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA or CPA equivalent preferred
- At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience with ERP system, Hyperion and/or OneStream is strongly preferred.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Public accounting and/or large US public company experience a plus
- Good understanding and practical working knowledge of US GAAP highly preferred
- Manufacturing experience is a plus
