- Accurately input financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets, including invoices, payments, receipts, and other financial transactions.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date physical and electronic accounting files and records.
- Process accounts payable invoices, including matching purchase orders, receiving reports, and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Assist with the preparation of payments to vendors and suppliers.
- Assist with the preparation and sending of invoices to customers and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Assist in the preparation of bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances.
- Assist employees with the preparation and submission of expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assist with basic general ledger tasks, such as preparing journal entries under supervision.
- Organize and maintain accounting documents, ensuring easy retrieval when needed.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors regarding accounting-related inquiries.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to the accounting department, such as photocopying, scanning, and filing.
- Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned by the Accounting Manager or other senior accounting staff.
