Job Summary
- The basic duty and responsibility of the position is to contribute to the delivery of Quality Patient Care and Safety consistent with MLMC Vision, Mission and Values and the organization's strategic objectives.
- To provide a safe and efficient transportation for patients who require medical assistance.
- To be responsible in driving the ambulance to emergency scenes, hospitals and various healthcare facilities to and from Makati Life Medical Center.
- To ensure that the ambulance is always in optimal condition, follows traffic rules and regulations and providing necessary support to the healthcare professionals on board.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently drive the ambulance to transport patients
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the ambulance
- Follow established protocols and respond promptly to emergency calls
- Report and assist in filling up job order forms for defective ambulance machines and equipment
- Maintain accurate records of patient transport activities including pick-up and drop off times, destination and relevant patient information
- Perform routine checks on the ambulance including fuel and fluid levels, tires and medical equipment
- Physically fit and able to lift and move patients more or less 100 kilos and ability to work in strenuous
Other Task
1. Transport Patient to medical facilities quickly and efficiently.
2. Assist EMT's in setting up emergency equipment such as oxygen tanks and fibrillators
3. Assist in medical procedures if possible, such as First Aid and CPR as instructed by Team Leader.
4. Drive the ambulance to the designated hospital or facility while keeping the dispatcher aware of the ambulance's whereabouts.
5. Help disembarking/lifting patients from the ambulance and rushing them to emergency rooms
6. Always be professional and effective responder together with your EMT.
Qualifications
Education:
At least High School Graduate
License:
- Current holder of a valid Professional Driver's License duly issued by Land Transportation Office (LTO)
- Radio Operator License from National Telecommunications Commission
- (NTC) is an advantage
Experience:
- At least one (1) year experience as Ambulance Driver
Skills:
- Good navigational skills - familiarity of Metro Manila and nearby provinces
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent driving skills
- Basic Automotive trouble shooting skills
Training & Certification/Others:
- NC II Driving TESDA Certificate
- Basic Life Support Certified
- Good moral character
- With no derogatory record
