About the job:
The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Consulting Architect to join us in Philippines. In this role, you will provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to customers on the adoption of Red Hat's cloud solutions and product families. You will build solid relationships with senior members of Red Hat’s customer’s infrastructure, networking, and operations teams by helping them architect a modern agile and flexible infrastructure. Additionally, you will be seen as a trusted adviser to enterprise and domain architects and form relationships with senior IT and business leaders. We’ll need you to have a combination of pre-sales customer discovery session facilitation, post-sales detailed design workshops, implementation and general pre-sales and delivery disciplines.
What You Will Do:
- Deliver pre-sales discovery sessions and post-sales detailed design workshops as part of providing customers with business-driven solutions
- Present, discuss, shape and influence customer architectural design decisions and roadmap with both external and internal stakeholders
- Play a technical governance role in project delivery
- Perform hands-on implementation delivery for relevant aspects of a project
- Collaborate with Support and Engineering teams to ensure customer success and effectively manage technical risk
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of repeatable methods, frameworks, and tools to bring greater efficiency and effectiveness to Red Hat Services
- Provide leadership and guidance to less senior Red Hat consultants and a presales solutions architects, enabling them to be able to be more effective and capable at large-scale design and architecture activities
- Guide the adoption of Red Hat’s Cloud solutions and services
- Demonstrate creative thinking through the development of informative whitepapers, blog-posts, industry events and webinars
What You Will Bring:
- Experience designing complex customer solutions in a rapidly evolving technological field
- 10+ years of experience in a solutions architect, enterprise architect, or a consultant role related to the delivery of infrastructure solutions
- 5+ years of experience focused on cloud environments and their supporting infrastructures
- Solid operational and management experience with hybrid platforms
- Background in customer engagement with either a major consulting services organization, or within a services division of a major software company
- Proven track record of working in a strategic advisory capacity to senior IT and business executives
- Broad and deep experience across the following technologies: Red Hat OpenStack, Red Hat Openshift, Red Hat Virtualization, VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Puppet and Ansible
- Working knowledge of cloud architectures Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and their supporting infrastructures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to senior business and technology leaders
- Proven ability to work seamlessly with teams spread out across multiple departments and geographies
- Balance of strategic and tactical skills with a capacity for innovative thinking
- Passion for open source, software, tooling, and automation
- Willingness to travel
- Good English language skills
- Broad industry experience across multiple verticals and within the telecommunications vertical are a particular advantage
