Job Title: Audio-Visual Technician
Qualifications:
- An associate degree or vocational degree in audio-visual technology or a related field.
- At least 2+ years of experience in AV technology and installation.
- Strong knowledge of AV equipment , systems. and protocols (e.g. HDMI)
- In-depth knowledge of audio-visual editing equipment and software
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex AV systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to physically lift or transport heavy equipment, if necessary.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- No health complications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to determine AV needs before an event
- Transporting, setting up, and connecting all audio visual equipment for live performances
- Testing the equipment to ensure everything is connected correctly and the signal is strong.
- Cleaning, repairing, and maintaining all equipment
- Providing technical assistance to users of AV equipment
- Performing inventory management on equipment, wiring, and accessories.
- Disassembling equipment, wiring, and support tools in a safe manner.
- Running tests on video, audio, and signals and troubleshooting any problems that arise.
- Developing good relationships with clients to keep production or event coordinators for a flawless flow of events.
