About the Role
As a Barista, you are responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages while ensuring excellent customer service. You are knowledgeable about coffee brewing techniques, maintain cleanliness, and create a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Sell products to customers through upselling: bigger, better, and more
- Comes to the unit on time and informs superior any planned leaves or unplanned leaves/ emergency.
- Ensure that individual health compliances and store H&S standards and policies are complied.
- Keep the coffee station and equipment clean and sanitized. - Restock ingredients and supplies as needed.
- Attends to any guest complaints in a polite and courteous manner and informs superior of the complaints.
- Makes sure that standard uniforms are properly worn and is sanitary and wrinkle-free.
- Compliant to the Hi-5 standards of service: greeting, understanding, selling, going the extra mile, and bidding farewell.
- Provide menu recommendations and answer inquiries about drinks and ingredients.
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and specialty drinks according to company recipes.
- Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment.
- Maintain accuracy in measurements, bean grinds, milk, etc.
- Makes sure that he/she is knowledgeable about their brand, what their selling, customer service, and health and safety.
- Attends to brand certification trainings to be knowledgeable on brewing techniques, standard measurements, and recipes.
- Attends and comply to local and group training (certification)
