About the Role:
We are looking for a strategic and analytical Category Manager for Food to oversee the development, execution, and performance of our food category. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, driving category growth, optimizing product assortment, and ensuring competitive pricing strategies. This role requires a strong understanding of consumer trends, supply chain, and merchandising strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute category plans to grow sales, margin, and market share.
- Analyze consumer insights, sales data, and market trends to identify opportunities.
- Manage end-to-end category performance including pricing, promotions, and inventory.
- Lead sourcing and supplier negotiations to ensure quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and store operations to align strategies.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance; implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Evaluate and refresh product assortment based on performance and market demand.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years experience in category management, preferably in food or FMCG.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Experience in merchandising, retail planning, or product lifecycle management.
- Proficient in MS Excel, data analysis, and category management tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of local and international food suppliers is an advantage.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to Php130,000.00 per month
