Role Overview:
This role will also be instrumental in ensuring that Parameta’s annual price increase adheres to a consistent and disciplined operating rhythm, that is constantly improving, while ensuring that sales and clients are appropriately informed about upcoming increases. Close collaboration with internal teams to implement Parameta’s annual price increase in a fast-paced and dynamic environment will be a key feature of the role.
Reporting into the Head of Commercial Policy, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that Parameta’s commercial model is clearly understood internally, offering training and guidance to sales, product, marketing and finance functions as necessary. Client engagement will form a significant part of this role, ensuring that clients understand how our commercial terms, in particular annual price increase, impact their contracts with us.
The ideal candidate is proactive, highly collaborative, and has experience in client engagement, strong product knowledge and our contracting model. They will be comfortable communicating our commercial policies across the Parameta organisation and answering questions or challenges from internal stakeholders as well as clients on a regular basis.
Role Responsibilities:
The Commercial Policy Executive will be responsible for assisting in the design, development and launch of Parameta’s commercial policies.
The ideal candidate will be required to provide clear policy direction as it relates to Parameta’s contracts and interactions with clients, redistributors, channel partners to protect Parameta’s revenues and intellectual property.
Ensure all relevant Price Increases are implemented consistently across our clients and vendors, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders as required.
Monitor and ensure compliance with D&A’s written commercial policy, ensure training and development of proper culture and conduct in adherence to the firms commercial policy.
Ensure all documentation relating to commercial policy are consistent and transparent, and ensure that training and development of the proper culture and adherence to Parameta’s commercial model are kept up to date.
Manage the Commercial Policy inbox responding to sales and clients alike in a timely and professional manner, escalating queries to subject matter experts and decision-makers where necessary.
Experience / Competences:
Essential
Experience in the market data business with a focus on market data licensing models, policy definition and pricing
Strong interest in IP protection and commercialisation of data
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
Strong Excel skills
Undergraduate university degree
Knowledge
Good understanding of commercial policy development and implementation process
Knowledge and experience in similar industry and capacity
Understanding of sales methodology is essential
