Job Responsibilities:
- In coordination with the company assigned Safety Officers and the EHS-related personnel, create, formulate, implement and monitor the company’s Occupational Safety and Health Programs and other safety regulations prescribed and mandated by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and its concerned attached agencies.
- Regularly review the safety and health programs of the company, initiate and recommends changes or modifications if warranted.
- Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of the factory clinic for any incident or accident in order to immediately attend to any medical requirement/treatment of every employee should the need arises.
- Maintain a good and acceptable inventory of medicines and other medical supplies and accessories in the clinic.
- Extend first-aid treatment or procedures to injured employees.
- Provide medical services and dispense over-the-counter medicines or medicines prescribed by doctors or medical practitioner accredited by the company.
- Perform or supervise medical laboratory testing to determine the physical fitness of the employees and recommends actions as the case may be to assure employees medical safety and avoid contagious disease from being transmitted.
- Initiate formal and informal awareness on areas related to Occupational Safety and Health.
- Perform health counseling to employees.
- Maintain, update and monitor medical cards/reports of each employee and history of their sickness and medical treatments, in strict confidentiality.
- Facilitate HMO enrollment and/or renewal of all employees.
- Prepare and generate occupational safety and health reports and submit to Top Management and/or government agencies.
- Conduct home or hospital visits and follow through on employees who are injured and/or prolong sick leave.
- Make available on any contingency or emergency requirement both in the factory clinic or to send injured or sick employees to the hospital for assessment and treatment.
- See to it that the ambulance, when use to transport injured or sick employees, is complete with medical accessories and equipment.
- Provide administrative support to various functions of the Human Resources & General Affairs Department.
Job Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Open to all fresh graduate or with at least 1-year related work experience
- Previous nursing experience in a corporate or production setting, an advantage but not required
- Knowledgeable in giving first aid treatment
- With BOSH Training and OHNAP Training Certificate, but not required
- With good English verbal communication skills and preferably can speak Japanese, but not required
- Familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
