Role Purpose
Support strategic and tactical marketing issues for Relationship Marketing and/or a specific Brand Marketing or Business department by providing analytical consulting on operational and program structure issues and opportunities.
Key Accountabilities
- Based on analytical objectives from business functional areas (Marketing, Sales, Reservations, Franchise Services, Field Marketing), utilize campaign management, data mining software, and statistical/computational methods to analyze results of direct marketing testing in frequency and non-frequency applications.
- Prepare presentations to marketing managers based on interpretation of data analysis to report findings and make recommendations based on results.
- May also develop content for formal Analytical Skills training courses for marketing managers.
- Apply analytical techniques to one or more disciplines. .
- Select and use appropriate software to effectively analyze data.
- Compile and analyze information.
Key Skills & Experiences
Education
Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Quantitative Discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
Minimum Requirements
•Self-motivated and curious in pursuit of root cause analysis
•Experience in database analysis and interpretation is critical
•Effective at developing SQL queries in large, relational databases
•Demonstrated ability to interpret implications of SQL queries
•Demonstrated ability to create story-driven presentations with Powerpoint
Preferred
•Effective at communicating analytical results to non-technical stakeholders
•Functional understanding of Business to Consumer Marketing tactics
•Experienced in analysis of consumer databases
•Demonstrated knowledge of statistics in design of experiment and measurement of statistical significance
