We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Customer Service & Collections Representative to join our team. In this role, you will handle inbound calls and provide support to dental clients and patients. Your responsibilities will include processing payments, explaining account balances, providing statement copies, and escalating patient disputes when necessary. This is a customer-facing role that requires professionalism, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and emails from patients and dental clients in a timely and professional manner
- Process and post incoming payments accurately
- Explain account balances, charges, and insurance adjustments
- Send and provide copies of patient statements as requested
- Escalate patient disputes or unresolved billing issues to the appropriate department
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interactions
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding patient information
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1+ year of experience in customer service, billing, or collections (healthcare or dental setting preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism
- Proficiency in using billing software and Microsoft Office applications
- Dental industry knowledge or experience is a plus
Work Environment:
- This role may be hybrid, or in-office depending on the further developments
- Regular working hours in a night shift schedule
