Key Accountabilities:
Trader's Short-Term Forecasting (STPF) management:
- Retrain traders' STPF model on demand on an ongoing basis
- Monitor model performance through key metrics (e.g., MAPE, RMSE) and implement enhancements to improve forecast accuracy and reliability
- Maintain the necessary databases and computing environments to iterate on forecasts effectively
Document forecasting methodologies, model assumptions, and version histories to support transparency and reproducibility.
Customer Analytics as a Service:
- Extract and transform data from the enterprise data warehouse to conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and deep-dive analytics on customer energy consumption, billing, and other key energy attributes to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities
- Develop and implement advanced analytical models and techniques to generate actionable insights from customer data.
Build and maintain reports and dashboards to support energy analytics solutions for various customers
Special initiatives for 2025:
- Address predictive and prescriptive analytics requirements as needed for upcoming initiatives.
- Explore Big Data Analytics (EDA) and utilize diverse data sources to enhance profiling and forecasting for both commercial and residential buildings and other customer profiles
- Assist in developing data models to support energy-related analyses
- Assist in building and maintaining automated data pipelines for customer data analysis
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Data Analytics or Data Science or equivalent
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office( including Excel, Word and Powerpoint) and Google Workspace (GDocs, GSheets, GSlides),
- Experience with Python and machine learning libraries (e.g. scikit-learn)
- Experience with Tableau and Snowflake is a plus
- Must have the ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast changing environment
- Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
- Creative, self-disciplined and capable of identifying and independently completing critical tasks, with a sense of urgency
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical audiences
- High level of personal integrity, dependability, and initiative
