Responsibilities and work activities:
- Design, implement, and maintain Oracle, MS SQL and DB2 UDB database.
- Monitor and tune physical databases and provide guidance on SQL tunings to developers
- Perform data migration and database cloning
- Ensure all necessary database maintenance and utilities are run to achieve smooth operations of the applications
- Perform database backup and recovery where necessary
- Deploy automation where applicable for day-to-day operations
- Perform Database Software Installation and Patching
- Perform database changes and code promotions according to Sun Life’s change management process
- Assist application developers with data-related components of the development cycle, particularly logical & physical database design.
- Take part in Database upgrade and platform migration projects under Sun Life’s direction
Skills and Experience for Database Administrator:
- 4+ Years of DBA experience supporting generic Oracle, MS SQL and DB2 UDB databases
- Knowledgeable in AWS Cloud is a plus.
- Database Upgrade Experience
- Experience on database administration, monitoring database, troubleshooting, capacity planning, installation and patching.
- Proficient communication and client Management / inter-personal skills
- Proficient documentation skill
- Experience in working & delivery as part of a big team

Job Type: Fixed term
Contract length: 6-12 months
Pay: Php70,000.00 - Php90,000.00 per month
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
