Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician/Rewinder with specialized knowledge in crane systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, rewinding, and repair of electric motors, generators, and overhead cranes. The role requires strong electrical diagnostic skills and hands-on expertise in troubleshooting and repairing crane-related electrical components and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, control panels, and motors in crane systems and industrial machinery.
- Perform rewinding and reconditioning of electric motors, armatures, stators, and transformers.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and electrical inspections on cranes, hoists, and related lifting equipment.
- Install or upgrade electrical systems to meet operational safety and performance standards.
- Ensure proper grounding, insulation, and alignment of rewound components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Document maintenance and repair activities, test results, and materials used.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and electrical codes at all times.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an electrician with rewinding skills (minimum 2–3 years).
- Strong background in crane electrical system repair and maintenance.
- Technical diploma or certification in electrical technology or related field.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.
- Knowledge of electrical tools, instruments, and testing equipment.
- Physically fit and capable of working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Strong attention to detail, safety-conscious, and a problem solver.
