Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Equipment Maintenance Team Leader to oversee the upkeep, repair, and operational readiness of maritime training equipment and facilities. This role is ideal for a former Boatswain (Bosun) with strong leadership, technical skills, and a deep understanding of maritime equipment, seamanship, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the maintenance team in the inspection, repair, and upkeep of training equipment (e.g., lifeboats, davits, mooring stations, firefighting systems, mock-up ship areas, etc.)
- Ensure all training tools and simulation equipment are in safe, functional, and compliant condition
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules in line with training delivery requirements
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and safety checks
- Work closely with instructors to ensure equipment meets training standards and is properly set up for practical exercises
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new training equipment
- Implement safety protocols and maintenance best practices based on maritime industry standards
- Provide on-the-job training and supervision to practicum assistants and maintenance staff
- Support facility readiness for MARINA and other regulatory inspections
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Boatswain (Bosun) onboard a commercial vessel
- Solid knowledge of shipboard systems, deck machinery, and maritime safety equipment
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a technical or maintenance role
- Familiarity with the operational requirements of a maritime training environment is an advantage
- Technical or vocational diploma in Marine Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field is a plus
- Physically fit and capable of handling hands-on maintenance tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willing to be assigned in Brgy. Paligawan, Silang, Cavite

Pay: Php25,000.00 - Php28,000.00 per month
