The Feedmill Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the feedmill, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and adherence to safety standards. This role involves managing staff, maintaining machinery, optimizing production processes, and ensuring that all feed products meet company and regulatory standards. The Feedmill Plant Manager also ensures cost-effective and timely production to meet the needs of the organization and its customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overall in charge of the plant and act as the Administrative Head.
- Manage and ensure that the plant meets its established quality objectives and KPIs.
- Maintain high-quality standards of production within budget constraints and prepare production schedules accordingly
- Oversee the security of company property, the plant perimeter, and personnel by managing and monitoring the performance of the Security Department.
- Ensure compliance with customer commitments, GMP, HACCP, Sanitation, ISO Standards, Biosecurity, Pest Control and other internal business metrics.
- Strictly enforce occupational safety and health policies to ensure a safe workplace for all employees.
- Oversee the structural and environmental maintenance and improvements of the plant to ensure operational efficiency.
- Manage labor relations, conducting regular appraisals, and recommending salary adjustments when required.
- Drive company performance by managing the workforce and overseeing continuous improvement activities to maintain process control.
- Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules for machines and facilities, and assist with equipment installation when necessary.
- Ensure timely maintenance and upkeep of buildings and equipment, staying within budget and timeframe.
- Maintain high standards of customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze customer metrics and provide recommendations for improvement to top management.
- Attend regular meetings and operations as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in feed production or a related manufacturing environment with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record of managing teams and overseeing plant operations.
- In-depth knowledge of feed production processes, machinery, and equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, quality control standards, and industry regulations (e.g., GMP, HACCP).
- HACCP Certification, OSHA Safety Training, Lean Manufacturing, or other relevant qualifications is an advantage.
- Willing to be assigned in Sta. Maria, Bulacan.
