JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reporting to the Front Leader under Operations
- Responsible for learning the complete food menu, operating a point of sale (POS) machine, communicating with customers, and assisting other restaurant front staff as needed
- Handling of petty cash and change fund
- Welcomes and greets customers courteously and help determine their orders
- Processes customer orders and record them in the restaurant database/POS machine
- Accepts payment from customers in cash or by credit card, and make change accurately and efficiently
- Processes credit card payments by entering transactions into a computer system or swiping cards through a POS terminal (if applicable)
- Issues receipts to customers
- Deals with returns and refunds as necessary
- Maintains cash control over register drawer and verifies amounts are correct
- Relays customers’ orders to the kitchen staff, specifically, the assemblers
- Places food orders in the appropriate bags and boxes for takeout, pick up, and delivery transactions
- Ensures all orders are delivered to the customers in a timely manner
- Responds to customer inquiries, and record customer suggestions and complaints
- Handles customer complaints regarding menu items, specials, or prices
- Requesting identification from customers when they pay with a credit card, or avail senior / PWD discounts
- Tally money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each work shift
- Stocking of cashier and packaging supplies as necessary
- Managing shelves, tracking inventory, and keeping the work area clean and organized
- Rotates among all kind of transactions
- Coordinates with the delivery riders regarding the orders to be delivered and endorses change fund
- Responsible for replacing staff who are out sick or on vacation and for arranging coverage in cases of emergency absence
- Perform other job-related functions as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills for accurately handling cash transactions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and handle high-pressure situations during peak hours.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus.
- Friendly and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and order processing.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php14,100.00 - Php14,560.00 per month
