Heavy Equipment Operator (Coal Plant)

This role is responsible for operating heavy equipment—including payloaders, skid loaders, forklifts, and manlifts—as well as managing the Stacker/Reclaimer or Ship Unloader, all in compliance with company policies, standard procedures, relevant regulations, and equipment guidelines. The position supports the safe, reliable, and efficient functioning of coal yard activities (Heavy Equipment), coal storage and retrieval (Stacker/Reclaimer), and coal unloading operations from delivery vessels (Unloader).

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment (e.g., payloader, skid loader, forklift, manlift) for coal yard activities.
• Run the Stacker/Reclaimer for coal stacking and retrieval following FIFO and blending schedules.
• Operate Ship Unloader for safe coal transfer from vessels to storage areas.
• Monitor and record equipment performance; perform basic troubleshooting and report issues.
• Coordinate with SCADA Operator and Supervisor during coal handling and unloading operations.
• Monitor coal temperature to detect hotspots and assist in fire risk mitigation.
• Maintain logs and submit shift reports on equipment usage, performance, and coal movements.
• Conduct equipment inspections, routine maintenance, and coordinate repairs with the Maintenance team.
• Perform regular cleaning and housekeeping to minimize coal dust and fire hazards.
• Comply with safety, health, and environmental standards at all times.

Qualifications:

• Vocational degree in Automotive Technology.
• Minimum of 2 years experience operating coal-handling equipment.
• At least 6 months of training in the operation and maintenance of a Stacker/Reclaimer or Ship Unloader.
• License: NC II Certified Heavy Equipment Operator or NC II Certified Overhead Crane Operator (for Unloader operations).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php20,000.00 - Php35,000.00 per month
