Key Responsibilities
- Staff Management:Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff, and schedule their shifts and tasks.
- Quality Assurance:Inspect rooms and common areas to ensure they meet established standards of cleanliness, orderliness, and presentation.
- Inventory Control:Monitor, order, and manage the inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linens to ensure they are stocked and well-maintained.
- Guest Service:Handle guest complaints, requests, and concerns regarding housekeeping services in a professional and timely manner.
- Safety & Compliance:Enforce and ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and hygiene policies, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals and proper waste disposal.
- Coordination:Liaise with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to coordinate services and ensure cohesive operations.
- Administrative Tasks:Prepare reports, maintain records, and assist with hiring and evaluating staff members.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field is typically required.
- Leadership: Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team.
- Attention to Detail: Crucial for inspecting rooms and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
