Job Description:
- Assisting departments in relaying messages and communications thru the telephone paging system/public address system.
- Responsible in answering incoming and outgoing calls from different departments.
- Responsible in entertaining questions and queries from incoming patients.
- Responsible in locating and informing needed personnel thru paging.
- Explains rates, charges, services, discounts and hospital policy.
- Gather information by interviewing incoming patients prior to admission and collects insurance, emergency information and other data required to bring the patient into the hospital system.
- Explaining different rates, charges, services and discounts and hospital policy to the patient and patient’s relatives.
- Accepts reservations for rooms, assigning beds according to medical needs and census count.
- Encodes and records admissions and discharges.
- Performs the tasks of the HMO in informing health card companies of their admissions. (In the absence of HMO clerk)
