Job Summary:
The Inventory Associate is responsible for managing and monitoring inventory levels of materials, tools, and supplies essential to signage production and installation. This role ensures accurate tracking, timely replenishment, and proper storage of items such as acrylic sheets, vinyl, adhesives, paints, lighting components, and hardware. The Inventory Associate plays a key role in supporting production efficiency and minimizing material waste.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect deliveries of raw materials and signage components, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date inventory records in both manual logs and inventory systems.
- Track the usage of materials across projects and update inventory levels accordingly.
- Conduct regular stock counts, spot checks, and full physical inventory to ensure accuracy.
- Label, store, and manage materials in accordance with company standards (e.g., safety, accessibility, shelf life).
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Production teams for material requisitions, low stock alerts, and special orders.
- Monitor critical materials used in custom signage such as aluminum sheets, LED modules, channel letter components, and mounting hardware.
- Ensure timely disposal or return of excess, damaged, or obsolete stock.
- Support material preparation and pulling for upcoming jobs based on job orders and production schedules.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse or storage area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or relevant experience in warehousing or inventory management preferred.
- At least 1–2 years of inventory or warehouse experience, ideally in a manufacturing or signage environment.
- Familiarity with materials used in signage fabrication and installation is a strong advantage.
- Ability to operate inventory software, barcode scanners, and basic MS Office tools.
- Physically fit; able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proactive and dependable, with good communication and teamwork abilities.
