Job Description:

We are looking for a Japanese Interpreter to facilitate effective communication between Japanese and Filipino staff in both verbal and written formats. The interpreter will provide support during meetings, trainings, production-related discussions, and on-site operations to ensure smooth understanding and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and translate conversations (Japanese ⇔ English/Filipino) during meetings, trainings, and on-site activities.
• Translate technical documents, emails, manuals, reports, and internal memos from Japanese to English (and vice versa).
• Assist Japanese expats and local staff in day-to-day communications within the company.
• Provide language support during business negotiations, audits, and customer visits.
• Coordinate with different departments to ensure proper communication flow.
• Support Japanese managers in bridging cultural and language differences.
• May assist in admin tasks and coordination if necessary.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Graduate of any 4-year course (preferably in Language, Communication, or related field).
• Language Proficiency:
• Fluent in Japanese (preferably JLPT N2 or N3 certified)
• Proficient in English and Filipino (both verbal and written)
• Experience:
• At least 1–2 years experience as a Japanese interpreter or translator is preferred
• Experience in a manufacturing or production setting is a plus
• Skills and Attributes:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexible, culturally sensitive, and a team player
• Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to work onsite in Mactan, Cebu

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php38,000.00 - Php42,000.00 per month
