JUNIOR ARCHITECT
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior designers in creating design concepts for residential, condo and commercial spaces.
- Develop mood boards, color palettes, and material samples to present design ideas to clients.
- Create floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using design software
- Source and select furniture, fixtures, and materials within client budgets and preferences.
- Assist with client meetings and discussions.
- Collaborate with contractors to ensure design specifications are met.
- Assist in coordinating and managing project timelines and deliveries.
- Visit job sites to take measurements, assess progress, and ensure design accuracy.
- Revise and update designs based on client feedback and project requirements.
- Stay current with design trends, materials, and technology to contribute fresh ideas.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar programs.
- Basic knowledge of materials, finishes, and furnishings.
- Strong understanding of design principles, space planning, and color theory.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for interior design.
- A portfolio showcasing design work, including academic or personal projects.
