Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in the food and beverage industry. The ideal candidate will oversee the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure and facilities that comply with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements. This role involves working closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure that all civil engineering projects support operational efficiency and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, plan, and manage construction and renovation of food and beverage processing facilities, warehouses, drainage systems, and structural installations.
Ensure that facility layouts, drainage, flooring, and structures support food safety and sanitation standards (GMP, HACCP, etc.).
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and food industry requirements.
Perform site assessments and prepare feasibility studies, cost estimates, and timelines for civil works.
Develop maintenance schedules for structural and civil components of the facility, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Oversee the proper implementation of environmental control systems, including wastewater management, ventilation, and storm drainage.
Prepare technical reports, engineering drawings, and documentation for permits and inspections.
Support continuous improvement projects focused on production efficiency, worker safety, and facility optimization.
Liaise with internal departments to ensure engineering solutions align with operational goals.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; licensed Civil Engineer is required.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in the food and beverage or manufacturing sector.
Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation principles, and hygienic facility design.
Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and civil design software.
Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
