Kitchen Helper – Duties and Responsibilities
Kitchen Helpers assist in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen by performing various supportive tasks. Their responsibilities may vary depending on the needs of the Cooks or Waitstaff. Key duties include:
- Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors to maintain cleanliness and safety
- Disposing of garbage and replacing trash liners regularly
- Washing, drying, and properly storing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Unloading and organizing food supplies from deliveries
- Assisting in food preparation by washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing ingredients
- Assembling and packing takeout orders accurately for customer pickup or delivery
- Clearing and sanitizing tables as needed to assist Waitstaff
- Restocking condiments, napkins, and other table supplies to ensure readiness for service
