Core Responsibilities:
- Collect and prepare samples of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished feeds for analysis.
- Conduct laboratory tests including proximate analysis (moisture, protein, fat, fiber, ash), mycotoxin screening, and physical tests (density, pellet durability, particle size).
- Operate laboratory equipment such as NIR analyzers, moisture analyzers, balances, ovens, and grinders.
- Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Record and analyze test results accurately and timely, and report deviations to the QA/QC Manager.
- Support process adjustments by providing timely analytical feedback to production teams.
- Ensure adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), GMP, and HACCP standards.
- Assist in developing or validating new test procedures as required.
- Maintain laboratory records, logs, and quality control documents for traceability and audits.
- Participate in internal audits, proficiency testing, and continuous improvement programs.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Animal Science, Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in a laboratory, preferably in a feed mill, food, or agricultural environment.
- Understanding of proximate analysis and feed ingredient quality parameters.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety practices and handling of chemical reagents.
- Good analytical, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and lab data entry software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
