Reporting to Maintenance Supervisor, the Lead Electrician is accountable and responsible for the installation, trouble shooting, repair and maintenance of the light and heavy equipment electrical system.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform trouble shooting, major repair and reconditioning of electrical problem.
2. Lead on the repair of electrical component.
3. Make/Interpret as built schematic electrical/electronic diagram of heavy equipment and other electrical accessories.
4. Repair, rewind electrical motors, alternators and other electrical accessories.
5. Conduct inspection and failure analysis to determine the root cause of trouble.
6. Schedule and implement preventive maintenance of heavy equipment electrical components.
7. Prepare electrical parts survey and requisition.
8. Prepare test on accomplished repair.
9. Evaluate electrical parts reusability.
10. Prepare and submit daily accomplishment report.
11. Assume supervision in the absence of Equipment or Electrical Supervisor.
12. Inform the Equipment or Electrical Supervisor of unsafe condition and practices in work area of responsibility.
13. Proper implementation, applications of the Philippine Electrical Codes and Safety Standards.
14. Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
1. At least high school graduate, preferable vocational graduate in Auto Electrician or Industrial Electrician.
2. At least five (5) years in experience in Auto Electrician of heavy equipment.
3. Had Passed required trade test exam.
4. Able to apply service and parts manual.
5. Should be able to interpret Electrical/Electronic schematic diagram specially in heavy equipment.
6. Rewiring of electrical motor, alternators and other electrical accessories.
7. Complete Rewiring/Re-harness in light and heavy equipment units.
