Duties and Responsibilities:
· Performs detailed preparation and analysis of ore, rice and water samples according to published methods and laboratory procedures
· Generates results from raw data, performing primary review against method criteria
· Enters results in the trackers provided for the different matrices offered by the laboratory
· Conducts quality control check and participates in assigned proficiency testing schemes
· Authorize the use of equipment/machines in the laboratory
· Can perform second level review for all test reports in different matrices
· Provide technical guidance to analysts in resolving analytical or instrument-related problems encountered during sample preparation and/or analysis.
· Ensure preventive maintenance is performed on the instruments in responsibility
· Monitor the validity of the analyses performed and data generated in the laboratory to assure reliable data.
· Trains new hires which include instruction on calculations, instrumentation management to include troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
Minimum Qualifications:
· Degree level qualification in Metallurgy, Analytical Chemistry or related discipline is preferred.
· Must be a Licensed Chemist /Chem Tech preferably with background in cement testing
· Fluent verbal and written English
· Preferably with at least 1-year experience in laboratory setup
· With background and training on ISO 17025:2017
· Preferably with background in ISO 9001

Pay: Php25,000.00 - Php30,000.00 per month
