Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Embroidery Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting embroidery machines to produce high-quality embroidered garments and products according to design specifications and production timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate multi-head and/or single-head embroidery machines (e.g., Tajima, Barudan, SWF, etc.).
- Interpret embroidery work orders and ensure correct design, thread color, fabric type, and hooping.
- Set up machines with appropriate thread colors and needles.
- Perform regular threading, hooping, backing, and placement of garments.
- Inspect completed items for accuracy, quality, and consistency.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and perform basic machine maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the embroidery area.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
- Monitor thread inventory and report low stock to supervisor.
- Collaborate with quality control and design teams to meet production goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience operating embroidery machines is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of embroidery design software (e.g., Wilcom, Pulse) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Frequent standing, bending, and lifting.
- Comfortable working with machinery and in a noisy environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with garment types and textiles.
- Basic computer knowledge for design loading and machine interface.
- Team player with good communication skills.
