The Truck Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a fleet of trucks, trailers, and other vehicles used in logistics and freight transport. Ensures all vehicles meet safety standards and are in optimal working condition to minimize downtime and delivery disruptions.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in trucks and trailers.
- Perform preventive maintenance services (PM) and scheduled repairs based on mileage and usage.
- Conduct regular inspections of the fleet to identify and address safety or performance issues.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
- Respond to roadside breakdowns and coordinate necessary towing or repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with safety, environmental, and government regulations.
- Order and maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
- Collaborate with dispatchers and operations staff to ensure timely availability of vehicles.
