Medical Record Reviewer requires strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and organizational skills who will be highly motivated, and accountable. The ideal candidate will excel at summarizing medical information while completing the assigned tasks and following established processes.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Reading and analyzing medical records to extract and document pertinent information with accuracy and precision
- Creating medical summaries detailing the chronology of medical events
- Proofreading reviews to ensure content is grammatically correct and complete
- Assigning exceptions to appropriate department for resolution
- Efficiently resolving deficiencies and submitting corrections
- Ensuring case documentation is standardized while following appropriate protocols for each campaign
- Maintaining a confidential, HIPAA compliant environment
Experience/Skills:
- RN, NP, PA, DO, or MD background is preferred (any combination of experience in Legal/Medical fields)
- Possess a strong clinical background with oncology experience preferred
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medications and laboratory tests with the ability to explain a medical condition or diagnosis
- Medical record review and chronology drafting experience is preferred
- Previous legal experience in Plaintiff product liability, defective drugs, or personal injury is a plus
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism with confidential and sensitive information
- Proficiency with Microsoft office tools
