Medical Sales Reprresentative
Responsible in selling the company’s products to a variety of customers including general practitioners, hospitals, and pharmacies. The job holder is responsible for working strategically to increase awareness and use of the company’s pharmaceutical and medical products. The job holder is responsible in driving the business for the company he or she represents, and is often directly responsible for bringing in new sales and new accounts.
A. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
v Arranges appointments and visits prospect clients to present and make negotiations about the featured product.
v Makes a routine visit to different hospitals and pharmacies to present the products.
v Promotes and gives samples to prospect clients.
v Informs clients about the product’s price, warranty, nutritional value, side effects, and other important information.
v Makes presentations to clients.
v Arranges orders and reservations on ordered products.
v Builds and maintains positive working relationships with medical staff and supporting administrative staff such as the receptionist, doctor’s wife, or doctor’s secretary.
v Keeps detailed records of all contacts.
v Performs one’s best in reaching (and if possible exceeding) annual sales targets.
v Plans work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables. This involves working with the area sales team or discussing future targets with the area sales manager.
v Attends company meetings, technical data presentations and product briefings regularly.
