We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Mortgage Broker Support Officer / Credit Writer to join our team and support our mortgage advisers in delivering excellent client service and efficient loan processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and packaging mortgage applications for submission to lenders
- Reviewing client documentation and ensuring compliance with lender policies
- Conducting loan servicing and borrowing capacity calculations
- Liaising with lenders, clients, and mortgage advisers to ensure smooth progress of applications
- Supporting the end-to-end mortgage process, from initial enquiry to settlement
- Managing CRM updates and maintaining accurate client records
- Assisting in compliance checks and documentation as per industry standards
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting a mortgage broker or credit writing in the New Zealand or Australian mortgage industry
- Must have a solid understanding of home loan structures, lender policies, and application processes
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong proficiency in calculations and attention to detail
- Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to communicate with clients professionally if required
- Must be available to work during New Zealand business hours (NZST/NZDT)
- Familiarity with aggregator platforms and tools
Tools & Skills:
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Experience with CRM systems
- Familiarity with compliance documentation and lender portals
