Job Summary:
Execute, conceptualize, design, create, and produce a wide range of multimedia content, including graphics, videos, and interactive knowledge assets to effectively disseminate Searca's mission, programs, and achievements to diverse stakeholders and contribute to strengthening advocacy efforts, knowledge sharing, and multistakeholder engagement, ultimately enhancing the Center's reach and impact.
Responsibilities:
Graphic Design & Communications:
- Design and produce high-quality visual content for various platforms, i.e., reports, presentations, brochures, social media, websites, and advocacy materials.
- Develop brand-compliant templates and ensure visual consistency across all organizational communications.
- Create infographics and data visualizations to simplify complex development data and research findings.
- Produce accomplishment reports in multiple formats, i.e., print, short & long-form videos.
2 Video Production & Editing:
- Plan, script, shoot, and edit/package engaging video content, including voiceovers and other audio recordings, e.g., documentaries, testimonials, explainer videos, event highlights) that highlight project successes and beneficiaries' stories.
- Manage video assets, including organizing footage, graphics, and audio files.
- Ensure video content is optimized for various digital platforms and audiences.
3. Photography:
- Capture high-quality photographs of field activities, events, and subjects that align with the Center’s priority thrusts.
- Manage and organize the organization's photo library with ethical guidelines for sensitive content in development work.
4. Web & Digital Content Support:
- Develop and integrate multimedia content for the Center's website and other digital platforms.
- Work with IT teams to ensure multimedia content is optimized for online viewing and user experience.
- Plan and manage digital campaigns.
- Assist in the creation of interactive online tools for education.
5. Multimedia Strategy & Innovation:
- Contribute to the development of multimedia strategy, identifying new technologies and trends to enhance communication efforts.
- Propose creative approaches to storytelling and content delivery to maximize engagement and impact.
6. Collaboration and Technical Support:
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand content needs and translate them into effective multimedia outputs.
- Provide technical advice and support on multimedia best practices and equipment usage.
- Ensure all content adheres to ethical standards, copyright laws, and organizational policies, especially concerning sensitive data or individuals in vulnerable situations.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition.
- Proven experience in creating and editing multimedia content, video production, and graphic design.
- Proficiency in multimedia editing software, e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audacity.
- Strong knowledge of video and audio editing techniques, sound mixing, and animation.
- Ability to work with various content management systems and multimedia platforms.
- Effective communication with diverse teams and stakeholders requires excellent English writing skills, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Very strong creative design sense, layout skills, typography skills, and color knowledge.
- Ability to build innovative conceptual designs adaptable to existing branding.
Minimum Qualifications: Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Arts, Communication Arts, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
Work Experience
Five (5) years of relevant work experience in multimedia production, graphic design, video editing, or a related role. Experience working with a development organization, NGO, or international agency is highly preferred.
Who We Are The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) is a non-profit organization established by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) in 1966. Founded in 1965, SEAMEO is a chartered international organization whose purpose is to promote cooperation in education, science and culture in the Southeast Asian region. Its highest policymaking body is the SEAMEO Council, which comprises the Ministers of Education of the 11 Southeast Asian countries. The Center derives its juridical personality from the SEAMEO Charter and possesses full capacity to contract; acquire, and dispose of, immovable and movable property; and institute legal proceedings. Moreover, SEARCA enjoys in the territory of each of its member states such privileges and immunities as are normally accorded United Nations institutions. Representatives of member states and officials of the Center shall similarly enjoy such privileges and immunities in the Philippines as are necessary for the exercise of their functions in connection with SEARCA and SEAMEO. SEARCA has embraced the rhythms of change. Its Tenth Five-Year Plan (FYP) has directed SEARCA to move away from "business-as-usual" strategy as it no longer suffices in coping with the increasing complexities, uncertainties, and nonlinearities of its constantly changing environment.
