Job Title: Part-Time Video Editor

Role Overview:
We’re looking for a creative and experienced Part-Time Video Editor who specializes in editing short-form social media content with a strong understanding of viral video strategy, especially when it comes to hooks, pacing, and cultural relevance. The ideal candidate will be skilled at crafting engaging visuals, accurately captioning content in Australian English, and enhancing videos through color grading and tonal consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit short-form videos (e.g., Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) with engaging pacing and structure.
- Implement strong visual hooks in the first few seconds to maximize viewer retention.
- Add accurate, culturally appropriate Australian English captions that align with brand voice and tone.
- Enhance video quality through basic color grading, exposure correction, and audio balancing.
- Optimize videos for various social media platforms and aspect ratios.
- Work closely with the content team to align video edits with campaign goals and branding.
- Deliver multiple edits under tight deadlines, with an eye for detail and storytelling.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience editing short-form social media videos with a portfolio or reel showcasing past work.
- Deep understanding of viral content trends, especially those relevant to Australian audiences.
- Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Ability to caption content quickly and accurately in Australian English, with an understanding of cultural nuances and spelling.
- Familiarity with color grading and audio enhancement.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple edits with minimal supervision.
- A proactive attitude, open to feedback, and a passion for storytelling through video.
Preferred:
- Experience editing content for influencers, e-commerce, or lifestyle brands.
- Familiarity with trends on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
Work from Home Requirements (Must have before the start date)
- Internet Connection : Min of 30 mbps wired internet connection speed AND a backup internet connection (before start date)
- Computer/Laptop: The contractor must have a working computer with updated current programmes from home with Dual Monitors
- Noise Canceling Headset (Plantronics)
- Dedicated Home Office - Contractors are required to have a dedicated home office free from noise and distractions.
- Must be comfortable working with a Monitoring Software (for payroll and timekeeping purposes only)
- Webcam - Contractors must have a working webcam
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From Php30,000.00 per month
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
