Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & People Management:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of billing and receivables specialists.
- Set clear goals and KPIs; monitor team performance against targets.
- Conduct regular one-on-ones, team meetings, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a high-performance, customer-centric team culture.
Billing & Receivables Operations:
- Ensure timely, accurate invoicing in line with service agreements and contract terms.
- Monitor outstanding invoices and reduce aged receivables through proactive follow-ups and escalation.
- Oversee credit control activities and customer account reconciliations.
- Serve as escalation point for complex billing or receivables queries.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls.
Oracle System & Reporting:
- Use Oracle ERP (preferred) for billing operations, account monitoring, and reporting.
- Ensure data consistency and completeness in the billing system.
- Collaborate with IT and Finance to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements.
- Process & Performance Improvement
- Identify and address process inefficiencies and gaps in billing and AR.
- Review workflows, aging reports, and issue logs to reduce cycle time and improve accuracy.
- Lead or support finance transformation initiatives, including automation or ERP improvements.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in billing and receivables, with 2+ years in a team leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, billing cycles, and credit control.
- Proven experience using Oracle ERP or similar enterprise-level finance systems (Oracle preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel and financial reporting.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in a shared services or managed service environment is a plus.
