Key Responsibilities:

Identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment
Determine root causes of equipment issues and recommend effective repair solutions
Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and efficiency of plant machinery
Repair or replace damaged and faulty mechanical parts
Conduct regular safety inspections in compliance with plant safety standards
Provide accurate estimates and quotations for maintenance or repair work

Qualifications:

Education:

Vocational or Technical training in Mechanical Technology, Industrial Machinery, or a related field OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Technology, Machine Design and Fabrication Technology, or a similar discipline

Certifications & Licenses (an advantage, but not required):

Experience Requirements:

Hands-on experience in the following areas:

Static Equipment Maintenance: Pressure vessels, boilers, piping systems, heat exchangers, tanks, and structural components
Rotating Equipment Maintenance: Turbines, compressors, pumps, motors, lubrication systems, and vibration monitoring
General Maintenance: Routine inspections, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs
Preferred: Experience working in a power plant or similar industrial environment

Key Skills and Competencies:

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Excellent mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical drawings/schematics
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment
Sound knowledge of plant safety protocols, hazard analysis, and emergency response
Effective communication skills for reporting and coordination
Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration with cross-functional teams
