The Process Improvement (PI) Team specializes in Process Documentation (PD) and Continuous Improvement (CI) and is under the Operational Excellence Department.
The Process Improvement Specialist supports the Firm through process documentation and improvement projects. This position will be reporting to the Process Improvement Supervisor.
Duties and Accountabilities1· Act as a subject-matter expert on both process documentation (ISO QMS Documentation) and continuous improvement methodologies, which may include Lean, Six Sigma, and Design Thinking
· Assist the Process Improvement Supervisor in defining, scoping, and leading global and local Process Documentation and Continuous Improvement projects following the team’s framework, from planning to completion using Lean, Six Sigma, and Design Thinking methodologies
· Perform global and local Process Documentation and Continuous Improvement project management and execution from planning to completion:
o Documentation, preparation, and presentation of project charter, Work Breakdown Structure, communication plan, and kick-off meeting deck
o Current process performance analysis, which includes facilitation of process mapping workshops, root cause analysis, data gathering, benchmarking, and analysis of pre-existing metrics to support improvement projects
o Coordinate and work with relevant teams in getting or creating operational data and dashboard, wherever available, to support process analysis in improvement projects
o Facilitation of ideation, prioritization, and future state process mapping workshops
o Assist the process owners in the presentation of proposed improvements to project sponsors
o Preparation and management of the implementation plan
o Assist the process owners in training, process documentation, and deployment of the improved process
o Computation of improvement gains, preparation and presentation of handover meeting deck
o Project Administration, which includes maintenance of Actions/Issues Log and coordination with the project team
· Accountable for issue resolution and progress reporting to project sponsors and higher management
· Assist the Process Improvement Supervisor in project’s feedback management and reporting
· Help develop and implement global and local awareness programs, initiatives, and engagement activities to promote process documentation and continuous improvement culture in the Firm
· Provide consultancy and act as trusted advisor by employing advanced knowledge on process documentation and continuous improvement framework
· Mentor and coach Process Improvement Analysts relative to the application of Process Documentation and Process Improvement methodologies and tools
· Maintain and improve the Process Documentation and Process Improvement trackers, process library, and Process Improvement team’s intranet site
· Keep the Process Improvement documentation up-to-date considering best practices in the industry
· Perform ad hoc tasks and responsibilities as required by the Firm and its management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in any business or management course, BS Industrial Engineering a plus
- Yellowbelt Lean Six Sigma Certified is required
- 4 to 6 years of extensive work experience in Process Documentation and Continuous Improvement, which includes process mapping, root cause analysis, ideation, and use of continuous improvement methodologies and tools (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma) in a shared service industry
- Experience in conducting Process Improvement workshops is required
- 1 to 2 years of experience in project management
- Certification in ISO 9001 QMS Documentation is preferred
- Knowledge or experience in executing in Design Thinking methodology is an advantage
