Job purpose
This role is designed to positioning Finastra’s Financial Messaging Services for market growth in the changing Payments landscape.
As a Product Manager, the primary focus is to define the business strategy and vision for your Product segment aligned to the North Star Vision and to drive commercial performance by deliver new capabilities into the Financial Services Sector.
The Product Manager will be the champion throughout the lifecycle of the Product Family and will become the Subject Matter Expert in delivering against the current and future needs of our customers. Using key inputs from customer, the market, and business teams, the Product Manager will create and deliver compelling commercial offerings, supported with clear definition and messaging to drive business sales & financial results, aligned to agreed key plays.
The individual will need to demonstrate industry knowledge and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and to work collaboratively and transparently to deliver against set objectives.

Responsibilities & Deliverables
Your responsibilities and deliverables will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Commercial Growth – The primary function is to drive business growth through solution innovation and compelling commercial Propositions. Working with sales, marketing and other market facing Teams, the Product Manager will identify/lead and deliver new growth opportunities for current and new customers.
P&L – Work with Finance and The Product Director, The Product Manager will ensure that the delivery of any new Propositions can be measured against KPI as defined within the business case or through key governance agreed.
Strategy & planning – For new products & services, the Product Manager will work with business and technical product teams to define and test business cases, targets and expected results – developing a clear strategy and roadmap, definitions, positioning and launch materials.
Proposition Launch – Ensure the development of robust investment business cases and manage to approval. For new Propositions and updates to the existing portfolio, provide oversight and support to Product Launch - Including pricing, contracts, finance, messaging, customer testing, training, launch event and marketing support as necessary.
Product Positioning and Messaging – Provide positioning and messaging that’s supportive of FM North Star Vision and Strategy, by differentiating the delivered proposition from the competition.
Marketing – Ensure propositions are well defined at individual proposition level and where appropriate at proposition family level, including target audience, features and benefits. Ensure appropriate go to market plans, collateral and campaigns are in place.
Sales Enablement – Develop and assist in the creation of sales team tools and resources that help them to have valuable conversations with prospective customers, including product and messaging training and content to use in the sales process.
Team Leadership – Leads, motivate and develop the Product Team members and build virtual teams from across the business to deliver against the defined product strategy/roadmap - ensuring the team is focused to contributes to the wider strategy, governance and business imperatives to drive business and revenue growth.
Required & Desired Experience
The successful candidate will bring experience in some, but not necessarily all, of the following areas:
5+ years of software/SaaS product management or product marketing experience
Experience with development and deployment of hosted and/or multi-tenant software delivered as SaaS or Cloud that utilizes service orientated architecture and that present published API's.
Experience with development and deployment of enterprise-grade software products that can perform, scale, and integrate in a payments or financial messaging enterprise ecosystem.
Knowledgeable in technology, payments industry experience highly preferable, Fluent in English and with excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to think laterally and at a strategic level, but also comfortable with getting into the detail
Ability to develop vision, translate into strategies and to execute at pace
Strong analytical skills, financial literacy and high intellect
Experience of constructing and managing budgets
Expertise in Agile product development methodologies
Highly effective and engaging communicator and influencer
Self-starter and delivery focused, actively collaborative – able and willing to share best practise
The ability to build and manage cross functional and senior management relationships – proven team leader, able to inspire both direct and virtual teams to achieve challenging objectives
Awareness of legal, regulatory and risk management
