Operates and maintains manufacturing machinery to produce goods, monitors the production process for efficiency and quality, performs quality control checks, ensures safety compliance, and collaborates with team members to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating Machinery: Supervise and operate machinery and equipment on production lines, ensuring proper function and efficiency.
- Monitoring Equipment: Monitor equipment performance and production progress, making necessary adjustments to maintain output.
- Quality Control: Conduct product sampling and quality control checks to ensure finished goods meet standards and specifications.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on assigned equipment; troubleshoot issues and report breakdowns.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety procedures, regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure a safe working environment.
- Material Management: Ensure necessary raw materials, packaging, and other consumables are available on the production floor for smooth operation.
- Teamwork & Communication: Liaise with other production areas and team members, clearly communicating status updates and issues to supervisors and colleagues.
- Record Keeping: Accurately log and track production data, often using basic computer skills.
