Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator to manage the end-to-end procurement process, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure efficient supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating pricing, tracking inventory levels, and ensuring that materials and products are available when needed without overstocking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and maintain supplier relationships.
- Create and manage purchase orders based on inventory needs and forecasted demand.
- Track deliveries and ensure timely receipt of goods and materials.
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels; minimize shortages and excess stock.
- Perform regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., operations, finance, production) to align purchasing decisions with company goals.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory in relevant systems or software.
- Analyze usage trends and provide reports on procurement and inventory metrics.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management (1–3 years preferred).
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficient in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP or inventory software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks).
- Background in logistics, manufacturing, or retail environments.
