Position: QA/QC Officer
Work Setup: Mon to Sat – Onsite
The QA/QC Officer is responsible for independently managing quality inspection, assurance, and compliance functions to ensure that all products meet Genie Product Concepts Manufacturing’s quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This role covers the inspection of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods, as well as the maintenance of quality systems and documentation. The ideal candidate will have solid QA/QC experience in manufacturing and be capable of working with minimal supervision.
Job Description:
Quality Assurance / Quality Control
- Independently plan, conduct, and document inspections for raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products.
- Enforce GMP, sanitation, and quality protocols across all production stages.
- Conduct and interpret basic laboratory tests and sensory evaluations.
- Maintain and update quality documentation, including non-conformance reports and corrective actions.
- Lead investigations into product complaints, returns, or rejections and implement solutions.
- Liaise directly with suppliers and internal teams to address quality issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with Philippine FDA regulations, HACCP principles, and other applicable standards.
Cross-Departmental Support
- Assist in product trials, prototype preparation, and sampling.
- Provide quality input on formulations before scale-up to production.
- Monitor production runs for adherence to specifications.
- Verify batch preparation, raw material checks, and production documentation.
- Prepare and maintain documentation required for product registration, licensing, and regulatory submissions.
- Ensure all product labels and claims meet Philippine FDA and other applicable standards.
- Support inspections, audits, and compliance reporting.
General & Cross-Functional
- Train production and warehouse staff on quality standards and inspection protocols.
- Conduct internal audits and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functionally to meet production targets and quality objectives.
- Perform other related duties to support operational needs.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of solid QA/QC experience in food, beverage, or supplement manufacturing.
- Proven ability to work without daily supervision and make sound quality-related decisions.
- Experience in GMP, HACCP, and Philippine FDA compliance processes.
- Prior exposure to product trials and production scale-up is an advantage.

- Strong leadership in implementing quality systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot deviations quickly.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to train and guide other employees in quality-related matters.
Other Requirements:
- Physically fit for on-floor inspections and able to handle occasional extended hours for urgent production runs.
- Willing to work onsite in San Pedro, Laguna.
