Primary Responsibilities
- Count, weigh, or measure incoming articles to verify shipment contents against invoices, bills of lading, or purchase orders
- Inspect items for defects or damage, rejecting or documenting unfit goods and sorting as needed
- Unload and unpack shipments using manual or powered equipment, e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks
- Record shipment information, such as quantity, weight, condition, and discrepancies, into inventory or warehouse management systems
