Position: Sales Manager
Work Setup: Mon to Fri – Onsite, Sat - Remote
We're looking for a highly driven and experienced Sales Manager to lead our business development efforts. This role is ideal for someone with a background in B2B sales, preferably in the supplements, nutraceuticals, or functional food space, who knows the local market and understands what it takes to close deals in the fast-paced world of private label manufacturing.
As Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for bringing in new clients, strengthening relationships with existing ones, and building a sales process that helps the company scale—locally and abroad. You’ll also work closely with product development, regulatory, and operations teams to deliver solutions that are not just high-quality, but also compliant, scalable, and market-ready.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Client Development & Account Management
- Develop and execute plans to attract new or existing private label and contract manufacturing clients.
- Pitch the company’s capabilities to prospective brands in health & wellness, e-commerce, MLM, and pharma retail channels.
- Provide end-to-end project guidance, from inquiry to commercial proposal to contract signing.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Create sales plans and campaigns based on market trends and customer needs.
- Collaborate closely with our marketing team to align sales efforts with campaigns, promotions, and lead-generation activities ensuring consistent messaging, faster conversions, and stronger brand visibility across target industries.
- Represent the company in trade shows, industry expos, and client-facing events to generate leads, build brand visibility, and stay updated on market trends. Responsible for pre-event planning, booth execution, and post-event follow-ups.
- Hit sales targets consistently and improve close rates by fine-tuning our approach to each segment.
- Standardize quotation templates, client brief forms, and reporting formats.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to improve Genie’s sales pitch.
- Prepare accurate sales reports, forecasts, and margin tracking.
Sales Team & Pipeline Management
- Manage the full sales pipeline, from inquiry to closing.
- Use tools like CRM (HubSpot, Monday.com, etc.) to track performance and follow-ups.
- Lead and support a small team of sales reps. Train them, guide them, and hold them accountable.
- Lead, train, and coach a team of sales associates; provide regular feedback, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Set team sales targets and track weekly/monthly performance.
- Build clear processes for inquiry handling, quotation, and follow-ups.
- Ensure the team is using CRM tools consistently and correctly.
- Step in when escalations or internal coordination issues arise.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work with Product Development and Regulatory to align client needs with technical capabilities and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Production teams for pricing, lead time estimates, and inventory availability.
- Liaise with Accounting and Management on billing arrangements and special terms.
- And other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in B2B sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Hands-on experience selling to Philippine brands (wellness, supplements, food, etc.).
- Experience managing a small team, setting KPIs, and holding people accountable.
- Comfortable presenting technical product offerings and discussing pricing logic.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Confident in product customization discussions - able to guide clients in conceptualizing formulations or packaging that match their market goals.
Preferably:
- With background in food tech, pharmacy, or nutrition
- Strong industry contacts (especially in e-commerce, pharmacy, or MLM channels).
- Basic understanding of FDA product registration in the Philippines.
- Knows how to read a formulation or have experience working with Product Development teams before.
