About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and experienced SAP BW Consultant to join our team. We are seeking an experienced SAP BW Consultant to support enterprise-level data warehousing and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in classic SAP BW (7.x) systems and is confident in managing data modeling, ETL, and business reporting using SAP’s legacy Business Warehouse tools. This role is crucial in maintaining stable and reliable data platforms for informed business decision-making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop SAP BW data models including InfoObjects, DSOs, Cubes, and MultiProviders.
- Manage ETL processes using DTPs, Transformations, and Process Chains.
- Develop and optimize queries using BEx Query Designer.
- Perform data extraction from SAP ECC and non-SAP sources.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data loads, resolve performance bottlenecks, and ensure data accuracy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver scalable BI solutions.
- Support transports, system upgrades, and basic BW administration activities.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with SAP BW 7.x.
- Strong proficiency in data modeling, ETL, and BEx reporting.
- Hands-on experience extracting data from SAP ECC systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ABAP for custom routines or enhancements.
- Familiarity with SAP BusinessObjects (BO) reporting tools.
- Exposure to BW on HANA or knowledge of migration paths from classic BW.
- Industry experience in manufacturing, finance, or logistics domains is a plus.
